Mains/DuplicatesI currently do not have mains in H.U.N.K's Resident Evil verse, nor do I exclusively interact with just one version of the same character. As far as I'm concerned, every single muse he interacts with exists in their own universe (unless plotted between myself, you, and another mun obviously).I am quite comfortable with other H.U.N.K blogs following me and am open to discussing ways to still interact. My only limit here is that I do not want duplicate interaction to turn into unfriendly competition or a dispute over who depicts him "best" (spoiler: nobody truly does. We all add something unique to his character and depiction.)Ships/ShippingShipping will occur here from time to time. I'm not opposed to it. I do not shy away from the complexity of his grey morality nor the fact that his life is full of constant turmoil. For this reason, his blog will touch on some topics that might be unsettling to some people. IMPORTANT PORTRAYAL NOTES
Resident Evil verse: HUNK is present in some way throughout all of the games in my depiction of him. While not a key player, I have written him as someone who is always moving within the shadows. Because of his job and his tendency to be so reliable, I hc that he is constantly a background player in all the major plots. Therefore, it is very easy for me to place him somewhere in any of the current games.
Other verse's: HUNK is almost always a mercenary/gun for hire/or similar position across other universes. It is very safe to assume he is one, even if you're not sure. If you would prefer he take a different role, please let me know via a dm or Discord message. I'm happy to adapt to fit your characters universe!
BIOGRAPHY
Human Unit Never Killed aka "H.U.N.K" is the code name of a mercenary working for the Umbrella Corporation.Next to nothing is known about the agent, although he is extremely reputable. H.U.N.K is known to have successfully carried out multiple missions and always emerges as the lone survivor, earning him the nickname "The Grim Reaper".In September 1998, H.U.N.K was assigned commander of Alpha Team and led the assault on Umbrella's NEST laboratory to apprehend William Birkin and steal samples of his G-virus. Although Birkin was seemingly killed by another member in self-defence, the team managed to take the G-virus alongside a T-virus sample before leaving. However, a still-alive Birkin, who injected himself with the G-virus, confronted the team. Now a hulking monstrosity, Birkin kills the team except for H.U.N.K and consumes the other G-viruses. The vial holding the T-virus breaks and is consumed by rats, who bring them into the sewer system and spread into the water supply, making H.U.N.K indirectly responsible for the Raccoon City Outbreak.A little over a week after the ordeal, H.U.N.K, still alive and with a virus sample, arranges for extraction outside of the Raccoon City Police Station. Fighting his way out of the sewers, H.U.N.K realizes that the front door of the station is blocked, and later encourages his pilot to leave without him. Much to his surprise, though, the pilot returns after H.U.N.K manages to find an alternative route out, who simply states that he "wanted to meet the Grim Reaper."H.U.N.K has become a legend by 2004, and is reported to be the developer of a fighting style designed to combat bioweapons that is still in use decades later.Though his current whereabouts remain unknown, his infamy lives on. With some even questioning whether "The Grim Reaper" was even human in the first place.
VERSE ONE
This Insatiable Hunger September 1998, Raccoon Citytw for cannibalism, human experimentation, infectionThough the viral outbreak results in the destruction of the city - Umbrella still manages to recover The Grim Reaper prior. Secretly evading the truth that H.U.N.K was sent to recover a sample of the G Virus strain rather than assist with the containment. Initially the observations of the mercenary show promising signs of another mission well done. Until, of course, he begins to exhibit signs of infection during his mandatory isolation period.Though Umbrella researchers believe that he will simply become another casualty falsely discredited as an “accident” by his superiors, the merc lingers after his initial symptoms. Eventually requiring intervention to prevent him from fully mutating.In the wake of the exposure, Umbrella makes the decision to continue treating and stabilizing H.U.N.K - who has now been reclassified as a project. With a combination of his original modifications and the mutations resulting from his exposure, he eventually becomes another speculative attempt to create superior military personnel. Though Umbrella does not last long enough to showcase the outcome of their “efforts” to hopeful clientele. Once the corporation starts to collapse, H.U.N.K escapes, stealing the formula for the booster serum being used to keep him stabilized. Though rumors of his existence haunt the lingering records of the conglomerate, the man himself remains elusive. Important Notes about this AU: H.U.N.K while now much stronger due to being mutated, is also unstable. Giving him an immense hunger that he often struggles to keep in check.He craves human blood and flesh, resorting to acts of cannibalism to satisfy himself. He exhibits far more extremes to his violent tendencies, being far more hostile and aggressive when threatened. Partially as a defense mechanism due to his own concerns about being apprehended. But also partially due to the side effects of exposure to a strain that would otherwise have caused him to suffer full-on zombification.In theory, he is immortal like other B.OW's who survive their viral exposure tend to be. Though that is entirely dependent on him constantly having to give himself a specialized serum to prevent his body from fully mutating. While separated from Umbrella, he is considered one of their “abandoned projects” rather than a former employee - though he's often repaid any mockery/implications of this with swift and unrestrained violence..
